Clear out the space.
Whether it's a closet, bathroom, kitchen or garage, take everything out of the space so you can begin with a clean slate. Seeing the space without the clutter makes it easier to bring things back inside in an organized manner.
Group all like-items together.
Start to sort through the items and categorize them into like items. This way you can see how much you're working with and how much of similar things you have and may not need.
Donate, Trash, Sell.
After creating all like piles then sort through and make a donate pile that could better serve someone else, a trash pile that you no longer need, and a sell pile that you could consign.
Implement Organizing Systems.
Place all commonly used items up front and easy to reach, and all uncommonly used items up higher or in the back. Make space for a back stock so that things never get over packed or cluttered. Categorize bins and label so that longterm maintenance is obtainable.
Style & Design.
Chose bins and organizing tools that best fit your style. (& of course all match!) Making the one time investment on tools will forever make you love your space.
It will now be easier than ever to maintain your space because everything will have a home. And if you ever need some extra maintenance help, that's what we're here for!
